We will make every effort to ensure your installation proceeds as expected.  Should you have any questions, please contact your Project Manager.

Proper preparation helps the installation proceed smoothly and efficiently. The following is a checklist of items to prepare your home for your installation:

Moving of large items such as pianos, pool tables, stereos, safes, file cabinets, desks, TVs, computers, aquariums and similar items requiring special handling should be completed by other professionals.

Disconnect and move electrical items such as computers, stereos, TVs, etc. We are not responsible for moving, disconnecting and/or reinstalling any equipment, cables or power cords.

Moving of large items such as pianos, pool tables, stereos, safes, file cabinets, desks, TVs, computers, aquariums and similar items requiring special handling should be completed by other professionals.

Doors – When installing new flooring, there is the possibility that doors may not swing free and will need to be trimmed.  You may need to make arrangements with a contractor outside of Capozza Flooring to provide this service for you.

Seams are not completely invisible. Discuss seam placements with your Project Manager.

Power – Make sure that adequate power, light and ventilation will be available 24 hours before and during installation.

Heat – Make sure adequate, permanent heat is turned on 72 hours before installation.  Temperature must be a minimum of 55 degrees during and seven (7) days minimum after installation is complete.  Portable, temporary heat sources are not acceptable and can cause future problems with the flooring.  Discuss specific requirements for radiant heated homes.

Plumbing – The disconnection, removal and installation of all plumbing fixtures should be completed by a professional plumber.  It is the Homeowner’s responsibility to ensure all plumbing is completed and ready for us to proceed with our work.  The Homeowner and plumber are responsible for all plumbing.

Scuffing - Normal installation methods may slightly scuff existing baseboards and walls; our installers use care to minimize this.  Please note that freshly painted surfaces will easily scuff.
